Dr Paul Vorster is part-time CEO of ITS South Africa, is and member of the South Africa Institute of Directors, Vice President of the International Benefits, Evaluation and Cost (IBEC) Working Group and is also a member of the ITS Policy Committee of International Road Federation (IRF).  Recent professional appointment include working as Strategic Advisor on branding and strategic positioning of the Automotive Industry Development Centre, Advisor on marketing and advertising for the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link, the Maputo Development Corridor between South Africa and Mozambique, team member of the City of Durban’s Soccer World Cup Transport Operational Plan, Marketing Advisor on Electronic Tolling Collection Project tender bid, Team member for Cape Winelands District Municipality Integrated Rapid Public Transport Network (IRPTN) concept plan. 
 
Paul often speaks on Transport/ITS and related topics at international conferences. Recent participation includes: the ITU Connected Car Conference (Geneva, 2010), IRF ITS Policy Committee (Lisbon 2010), IBEC, ITS World Congress (Busan, South Korea, 2010), IRF Middle East Regional Conference (Abu Dhabi, UAE, 2010), IRF ITS Policy Committee (Stockholm, 2011), Living Labs Conference on Sustainable Transport (Stockholm, 2011), International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Ass (Cape Town, 2012) and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (Geneva, 2012) and the UITP/UATP workshop on Public Transport (Johannesburg 2013).
