Save the Date – 3rd UN Virtual Worlds Day
We are pleased to announce that the 3rd UN Virtual Worlds Day will take place on 11–12 May 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland, at the premises of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
More information, including the full programme and registration details, will be shared in the coming months.
Building on the success of the 2nd UN Virtual Worlds Day, held on 11–12 June 2025 in Turin, Italy, which brought together over 650 participants and 50+ speakers from around the world, the 2026 edition will continue to foster global dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration on AI-powered virtual worlds.
Highlights from the 2nd UN Virtual Worlds Day included:
- The launch of the Turin Call to Action, a collective push for inclusive and human-centred digital development. Now available in all six official UN languages—Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish—it has been submitted as input to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Second World Summit for Social Development.
- The release of the first deliverable of the Global Initiative on Virtual Worlds and AI: the Citiverse Use Case Taxonomy.
- Celebration of the winning team of the 1st UN Citiverse Challenge during a special award ceremony.
