Fundación Cibervoluntarios: 25 years empowering people through digital skills, technological volunteering and community innovation to promote digital rights, inclusion and social impact

In 2026 Fundación Cibervoluntarios marks its 25th anniversary: twenty-five years working so that people can understand, decide on and shape the technologies that affect their lives. Born in Spain and international in reach, the Foundation brings together 4,500 volunteers and 7,000 partner organisations. Through technological volunteering and community-based digital education, in 2025 more than 280,000 people took part in our activities, mostly in person and in their own communities, with a special focus on digital inclusion for people in vulnerable situations. We accompany citizens, and young people in particular, as active protagonists of digital life, with full rights and a real say.

At our stand, visitors can discover our drive to build an Alliance for Citizen Digital Sovereignty and its Decalogue (https://empodera.org/en/defiende), ten principles, collectively built, that put digital rights and human dignity at the heart of technology policy. They can also explore evidence on how children, young people and adults relate to technology, and get to know Cibervoluntarios Network, our global network of local organisations for inclusive digital adoption. Partners, institutions and visitors are warmly invited to take part.
