Unlocking futures-connecting communities

The Connectivity for Refugees (CfR) initiative is a multi-stakeholder partnership initiated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), GSMA, and the Government of Luxembourg. Launched in December 2023 at the Global Refugee Forum to address connectivity and infrastructure gaps that limit access to the digital world for refugees and host communities. Its goal is to improve digital connectivity and enable access to essential services, skills development, and economic opportunities for 20 million forcibly displaced people and their host communities by 2030.
