Since the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) established its Action Lines, stakeholders have worked collectively to harness digital technologies in support of sustainable development and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. Today, in a rapidly evolving digital landscape shaped by emerging technologies, growing connectivity needs, and widening digital divides, the WSIS Process continues to serve as a key platform for inclusive, multi-stakeholder cooperation.
Building on the outcomes of WSIS+20 and ongoing global digital cooperation efforts, the meeting of UN WSIS Action Line Facilitators will provide a timely opportunity to take stock of progress, reinforce synergies across Action Lines, and identify concrete pathways to accelerate impact in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Pursuant to Article 109 of the Tunis Agenda, this interactive session will bring together UN WSIS Action Line Facilitators in a dialogue-oriented format to exchange insights on achievements, emerging priorities, and persistent challenges. The discussion will focus on strengthening implementation, enhancing coherence across the WSIS framework, and ensuring its continued relevance as a cornerstone of global digital cooperation.
