Physical (on-site) and Virtual (remote) participation

The Knowledge Café provides an informal and interactive space to reflect on the enduring importance of the WSIS process as a central, trusted, and uniquely multistakeholder platform for global digital cooperation. Reaffirmed by the recent UN General Assembly resolution, WSIS continues to serve as a practical, implementation‑driven framework that delivers results without duplication and supports Member States in advancing inclusive, people‑centered digital development.

The WSIS Stocktaking Knowledge Café will provide an interactive platform for the WSIS multi-stakeholder community to explore recent developments in the WSIS Stocktaking process and discuss future opportunities for collaboration.

The session will begin with an overview of the latest updates on the WSIS Stocktaking process, followed by the official launch of the WSIS Stocktaking Report 2026 and the WSIS Stocktaking Success Stories 2026 publication.

Participants will then engage in an open discussion and thematic roundtable exchanges focusing on:

how stakeholders can contribute to and benefit from the WSIS Stocktaking Platform and related activities;
how the WSIS Stocktaking process can further support the needs of the WSIS community through enhanced knowledge-sharing, networking and partnership-building.
As WSIS Prizes constitute an integral component of the WSIS Stocktaking process, the session will also provide an opportunity for WSIS Prizes 2026 awardees to share their experiences and reflections.

The Knowledge Café aims to gather community feedback, identify new collaboration opportunities, and strengthen the role of WSIS Stocktaking as a global knowledge repository and networking platform supporting the implementation of the WSIS Action Lines and the Sustainable Development Goals.
