The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) process has been multi-stakeholder since its inception, fostering a collaborative approach to shaping the global information society. From the initial Summits in Geneva (2003) and Tunis (2005), to the annual WSIS Forum in Geneva, and the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), the emphasis has always been on bringing together governments, the private sector, civil society, academia, international organizations and technical communities.

Anriette Esterhuysen
Ms. Anriette Esterhuysen - Moderator Table 1 Senior advisor global and regional internet governance Association for Progressive Communications (APC)

 Anriette Esterhuysen served as the chairperson of the Multistakeholder Advisory Committee of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF)from 2019 to 2021. 
She was executive director of the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) from 2000 to 2017 and continues to work with APC as Senior Advisor on Internet Governance. 
She convenes the annual African School on Internet Governance, an APC collaboration with Research ICT Africa at the University of Cape Town, and the African Union Commission. She serves on the governing bodies of the IGF Support Association, Connect Humanity, the Digital Empowerment Foundation, and the South African Tertiary Education Network (TENET). 
Anriette was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame as a Global Connecter in 2013 for her work in extending internet connectivity in Africa and received the Electronic Frontier Foundation Pioneer Award in 2015 for her work on defending and promoting human rights online.

 Anita Gurumurthy is a founding member and Executive Director of IT for Change where she leads research and advocacy on data and AI governance, platform regulation, and feminist frameworks on digital justice. She is a Visiting Fellow at the UN University International Institute for Global Health and serves as an expert on various bodies – including the T20’s digital transformation track and the UN CSTD’s Working Group on Data Governance. Anita has been part of the High Level Committee of the NetMundial+10 under Brazil’s leadership, the UN Secretary-General’s 10-Member Group on Technology Facilitation, and the Paris Peace Forum’s working group on algorithmic governance. Anita is also a Board member of global justice organizations such as the ETC Group, and University centers such as the Tech & Policy Lab at the University of Western Australia. Anita contributes regularly to academic and media spaces.


Ms. Meni Anastasiadou

 Meni Anastasiadou is a Digital Policy Manager for the Global Policy Department (Digital Economy Commission) at the International Chamber of Commerce. In her role she manages the work of ICC’s Global Digital Economy Commission, and its policy contributions on areas including AI, Cybersecurity, Connectivity and Data Governance.
Previously, she has occupied positions in the private sector as a consultant for Meta, and has also worked as a policy coordinator in cloud policy and critical infrastructure for Microsoft CELA. She has
