Mr. David Wright

David is Director UK Safer Internet Centre at SWGfL; the national awareness centre and part of the European Insafe network.  David has worked extensively in online safety for 20 years with children, schools and wider agencies. David advises a number of Governments and school inspectorates on online safety strategy and policy, particularly with regards schools and child development.  David has recently acted as an expert to the UN ITU in the development of national child online protection assessment reports

David has presented at conferences nationally and internationally.  He is a member of UK Council for Internet Safety as well as the Twitter Trust and Safety Council.  David is a Fellow at the EP3 Foundation and member of IEEE standard for Child Data Governance.


Ms. Supavadee Aramvith
Ms. Supavadee Aramvith Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

Supavadee Aramvith received the B.S. (first class honors) degree in Computer Science from Mahidol University in 1993. She received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA, in 1996 and 2001, respectively. She joined Chulalongkorn University in June 2001. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering with specialization Video Technology. She has successfully advised 6 Ph.D., 27 Master’s, and 32 Bachelor’s Graduates. She published over 120 papers in International Conference Proceedings and Journals with 4 International Book Chapters.


Mr. Mina Hanna

Mina Hanna is the current Vice Chair of the IEEE USA Research and Development Policy Committee and serves as Editor of the Science Policy Column and as a member of the editorial board of IEEE Computer magazine. Mina is also a member of the IEEE Global Initiative for Ethical Considerations in Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems, the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology and IEEE TechEthics. Mina received an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas-Austin


Mr. Giacomo Mazzone
Mr. Giacomo Mazzone Head of Institutional Relation and Members Relations South European Broadcasting Union (EBU)

Manager of the Public Service Broadcasting and Media with over 35 years’ experience in the news, sport and international relations sectors. Trained as a journalist, with a great deal of experience in international companies and organizations (RAI, Euronews, Eurosport, and then EBU European Broadcasting Union). He has worked for all traditional media (press, radio, general interest TV) and later in the then-called new media (all-news channels, Internet portals).

In RAI he has been journalist in the newsroom of RAI 2 for 15 years. Then has been among the founders of the Euronews project (1992-1997), where he managed special events coverage and partnerships, and later was appointed director of European Affairs and of the relations with EU institutions.

Called back in Italy in 1997 to manage the launch of RAI all-news channel RAINEWS 24, then was in charge of RAI’s international relations until he left for EBU in Geneva in 2002.

He has been member of the MAG IGF (Internet Governance Forum) on behalf of media sector (2014-2016) , is member of ITU council working group on COP (child on line protection) and has represented EBU in the last three WRC.

He has published a dozen of books on news, media and internet. Married with 2 children, living in Geneva.


Dr. Abdulkarim Oloyede
Dr. Abdulkarim Oloyede Senior Lecturer Department of Telecommunications Science, University of Ilorin, NIGERIA

Abdulkarim Oloyede is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Telecommunication Science, Faculty of Communication and Information Science, University of Ilorin. He is also a Rutherford Commonwealth fellow as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of York, York United Kingdom. He is active in the Internet ecosystem as he is currently the Co-Chair for the AFRINIC Policy Development Working Group (PDWG). He is an ICANN At-large (ALAC) Board member representing the Africa region and currently the Vice Chairman (Africa) for the ITU-D Telecommunication Development Advisory Group (TDAG). In addition, he is a Vice Rapporteur of the ITU-D study question 5/2. He was a high-level participant at the 2019 WSIS forum.


Ms. Denisse Salas

Denisse Salas is a Co-founder of WomenVai as well as a member of the committee of the Swiss Engineering section in Geneva (Switzerland). Being in constant reinvention of herself, her passions range from AI, gender equality and the environment.

She graduated as a Systems Engineer, has a Master of Science HES-SO in engineering (ICT) and is a Master Scrum Professional. She has accumulated an abundance of life and work experience throughout her years from working and living in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe.


Mr. Juan Peirano
Mr. Juan Peirano Policy Advisor Internet Society (ISOC)

Juan Peirano is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Internet Society, where he is focused on issues related to Internet infrastructure and access. In his role as subject matter expert, Juan contributes to the development of Internet Society’s projects on Internet Growth, access and sustainability.

Prior to joining the Internet Society, Juan was involved in the Internet community, working for LACNIC as a Policy Officer and Internet Resource Analyst, before moving to engineering roles in Telefonica. He was an active participant in various technical fora, including participation in RIR activities, ICANN and IGFs, holding the position of co-chair for the Public Development Process in the LACNIC region, between 2016 and 2018.

Juan is a Telecommunications Engineer from ORT University in Montevideo, Uruguay, and has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.

He speaks English, Spanish and German.

Juan is currently based in the United Kingdom.


Ms. Merle Maigre

Merle Maigre is the Executive Vice President for Government Relations at CybExer Technologies, an Estonian firm that specializes in providing governments, international organizations and companies with cyber training environments and sophisticated, large-scale cyber security exercises. She has a long and wide experience in the cybersecurity field also from the Government sector as well as academia.


Mr. Gurvirender Tejay
Dr. Gurvirender Tejay Associate Professor of Information Systems College of Business University of Colorado

Gurvirender Tejay is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the College of Business,University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He is responsible to develop the cybersecurity management programs and also lead cybersecurity outreach initiatives for the college.
Gurvirender has previously served as the Gary Goldbloom Endowed Distinguished Chair in Cyber Security Management, and Director of Center for Cyber Security at the St. Thomas University. Dr. Tejay received Ph.D. in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. He also holds M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, and M.A. in
Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. As an avid contributor to his profession, Dr. Tejay has been invited as Visiting Scientist at Ludwig Maxmilian University, one of the elite universities in Germany. He also was invited by Department of Homeland Security/National Security Agency as Subject Matter Expert to review Cyber-Security Workforce
Framework, National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education. 

Dr. Tejay is currently serving as Lead Guest Editor for Special Collection on ‘Organizational Cybersecurity’ for SAGE Open journal. He is also serving as Senior Editor for Special Issue on Privacy for ACM’s The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems journal. Dr. Tejay has served as Co-Editor for Special Issue on ‘Cybercrime’ for Computers & Security journal, a premier cyber security journal. He served as Editorial Review Board Member for Special Issue on ‘Security and Privacy in 21st Century Organisations’, European Journal of Information Systems (premier information systems journal). Dr. Tejay also served as Co-Chair for Emergent Research Forum for Americas Conference on Information Systems 2015 and was recognized for his innovative contribution by bringing meaningful improvements to the field. Recently, he has been
nominated to serve as Program Co-Chair for 2019 Dewald Roode Information Security Workshop, an annual conference of United Nation’s International Federation for Information Processing TC-11. In addition to his academic contribution, Dr. Tejay is constantly working to forge relationships with local organizations and create advancement opportunities for students. He is actively involved on multiple South Florida Technology Committees to help lead community efforts to
improve education and workforce development in the area. Recently, his community involvement efforts have been recognized by FBI InfraGard for “Exceptional Service in the Public Interest.”


Ms. Timea Suto
Ms. Timea Suto Knowledge Manager International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)

As part of the Innovation for All policy team at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Timea Suto works with global business experts to bring private sector views into activities and decisions of ICC’s Business Action to Support the Information Society (BASIS) initiative. Among her different responsibilities, she leads policy input and project work on Internet governance issues, having served as a business representative on the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development Working Group on Enhanced Cooperation (2016-2018), and currently serving on the Internet Governance Forum Multistakeholder Advisory Group.

ICC is the largest, most representative global business organization and only private sector body to have official Observer status to the United Nations General Assembly. During the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), ICC convened and facilitated business input and through ICC BASIS, it has continued to bring input and support engagement from business into the post-WSIS activities, whether at the UN and its various agencies or via multistakeholder activities. BASIS facilitates business participation and input into these activities while also bringing in views from the wider membership of ICC companies and associations.

A national of Romania and Hungary, Timea has policy and academic experience from Budapest and Paris. Prior to her role at ICC she has served as policy analyst for various social policy and open governance projects in the Visegrad countries and in evolving research and teaching roles.  She has a degree in International Relations and masters degrees in Minority Policy and European Public Policy. She speaks fluent Hungarian, Romanian, English and French.

Babusi is a 32 year-old self taught Zimbabwean design-strategist and innovator. 

He works in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and big data innovation with a particular focus on developing solutions for Sub-Saharan African communities.
With over 10 years of experience in the advertising, financial and technology industries, he specialises in contributing the practical skills needed to drive meaningful innovation in areas where scale and impact are hindered by structural limitations.
