Cryptocurrencies as a global accelerator of financial inclusion
The session will go through the current limitations of micro lending for financing community projects and how a blockchain based solution could cover the gaps traditional systems are leaving.
The session will include a hands on example of how an Indonesian farmer community can crowdfund their rice harvest using the Ignis blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
This example will show up how easy is to use these blockchain platform without the need of any coding or high technical knowledge.

Francisco Sarrias is an entrepreneurial engineer, he is partner at different companies like Marina System Iberica (maritime floating structures provider) and Marina Tel and Data (a hosting provider that he founded in 2003). He also founded in 2009 e-Diciones KOLAB, one of the first e-book publishers in Spanish language.
He is an active member of non-profit organizations like the ACET (Catalan Association of Telecom Engineers) and the PIANC Recreational Navigation Commission (World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure). He is member of the board on both of them.
Francisco holds an Msc. in Telecom Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a management degree from the IESE Business School. He has been a member of the Nxt community since 2016 and now he contributes with his network and commercial skills to on-board real business cases to the blockchain technology.
