Dear EGTI members,
I hope this post finds you and your family well during this uncertain time.
With the current situation, mobile phone big data could be leveraged to track the spread of COVID-19 and find ways how this could be contained. The use of mobile phone big data and social media data could help governments and policy makers during and after this crisis in making decisions, developing targeted policies and solutions.
Your agency or other agencies in your country are probably already using information from big data sources to analyze the situation in your country. We would like to encourage you to share those experiences here. We would like to make a compilation of these experiences which we will highlight in our upcoming EGTI meeting in September.
