| Description |
This project follows the execution of the « National CIRT Establishment in Kenya » (ITU Project Number 9KEN12005), successfully implemented by ITU through the services of IMPACT, and officially closed on 8 October 2013. The current project is the second and third phases of the full implementation of the National KE-CIRT/CC initiated with project 9KEN12005.
The main goal of the project is to assist Kenya in enhancing the capabilities of its National Computer Incident Response Team-Coordination Centre (National KE-CIRT/CC). With this assistance, previously established NCIRT will be equipped to serve as a trusted, central coordination point of contact for cybersecurity with additional reactive, proactive and forensics capabilities. ITU will assist Kenya in building and deploying the technical capabilities and related trainings necessary to enhance its national CIRT. |

| Achievements |
Will be updated following the completion of the project. 1. Establish the proactive services of the National KE-CIRT/CC. 2. Training of national KE-CIRT/CC technical staff. 3. A national digital forensics centre is established by the end of the project. 4. Installation of additional sensors.
