National CIRT Establishment in Cyprus

Following the successful implementation of the Republic of Cyprus’s government Computer Incident Response Team  (CIRT) in collaboration with ITU, the Republic of Cyprus represented by the Office of the Commissioner of Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation (OCECPR) has sought ITU’s assistance to establish its national CIRT, to serve as a trusted, central coordination point of contact for cybersecurity, aimed at identifying, defending, responding and managing cyber threats. ITU will assist OCECPR in building and deploying the technical capabilities and related trainings necessary to establish the Cyprus national CIRT.
