| Description |
This project aimed at providing connectivity between hospitals in Zimbabwe with ICTs in order to improve medical service delivery in a country where professional medical brain drain is a critical factor. Under this project, the following outputs were delivered: • Audit of infrastructure and facilities related to telemedicine in the hub and selected hospitals to be connected. • Connectivity of up to 12 remote/rural hospitals to the referral hub, Parirenyatwa General Hospital, in Harare or in accordance with the next referral procedures. • Assistance to the Ministry of ICTs Postal and Courier Services in the development of regulations/procedures and sector policy for the health sector. • Enhanced skills in telemedicine through training. |
