22 Technical Advisory Committee formation and Selection
To strengthen the scientific rigor and real-world relevance of project evaluation, a Technical
Advisory Committee (TAC) was established in December 2024. The committee brings together
experts from diverse disciplines, including AI research, engineering, ethics, social sciences, and
sustainable development. Within the call for participation, we received expressions of interest
and nominations from a wide range of professionals.
The selection criteria included domain expertise, experience in applying AI for social impact,
regional and gender balance, and demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
After careful review, we selected 32 TAC members (see Table <1>) representing academic
institutions, think tanks, industry, and international initiatives. These members were invited to
support the Innovate for Impact 2025 cycle.
The TAC plays a central role in reviewing submitted use cases, advising on pilot project selection,
and contributing to the strategic direction of the initiative. It also helps identify emerging trends,
ensure methodological soundness, and promote inclusive and responsible AI development.
Some of TAC members would attend the AI for Good Global Summit 2025 and Innovate for
Impact workshop.
