23 Scholars Selection
Within the deadline for the Call for AI4G Scholars, we received 171 scholar applications from
37 countries. We aimed for identifying top candidates who embody a diverse range of qualities 2-Project intro
and commitments. The selection criteria were academic qualifications, interests and dedication
to AI technology, collaboration and partnership, communication skills, and a recommendation
letter. We selected 16 scholars from academia, universities, and AI companies (see Table <2>)
who were invited to participate in the AI for Good Global Summit 8-11 July 2025. Scholars
worked closely with use case authors to understand the technology, the use case and the
domain. They received feedback and mentoring to derive valuable insights in collaboration
with the experts. We will award selected scholars for their outstanding efforts including Elzahraa
Ibrahim Mohamed Abdelhafiz, ANNU, Linbi DENG, Yi CHEN, Syed Azim, Innocent Nzimenyera
and Shadia Y M Baroud.
