Abstract :

The Plenipotentiary Conference in Dubai (PP-18) adopted two recommendations regarding ITU electoral processes.
As a follow-up, the secretariat submitted document C19/13 to Council 2019, inviting the Council to provide guidance to the Secretary-General on the way forward to implement the two recommendations.
The Council, in C19/112, instructed the Secretary-General to prepare a report to Council-20 on the implementation of these recommendations. Due to the Covid situation, the document was not discussed at the Virtual consultations of councillors held in 2020, but document C21/4(Rev.1) was submitted to the Virtual consultation of councillors in June 2021. After discussion, it was agreed by correspondence that this document should be submitted to the Plenipotentiary Conference for further discussion.
