Many industry require the use of passive sensing equipment (such as RFID tags, passive sensors of temperature, humidity, pressure, vibration, etc.) to eliminate the safety hazards that active sensing devices may bring. For example, there are many flammable and explosive materials in the chemical industry, and it is not allowed to use sensors with batteries to monitor these materials and devices. It is not recommended to use active sensors to monitor the temperature and pressure of gas pipelines, storage containers, and gas pipelines, as this can easily lead to accidents such as fires. Therefore, passive sensing equipment have the advantage of being non-contact, environmental protection and safety features, and make up for the shortcomings of active sensing devices.
This Supplement document provides use cases for communication services of passive sensing equipment not covered in ITU-T F.749.10, expanding the application field of CUAV to meet the application needs of various industry.
