Summary:
|
With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, AI-generated content has reached a level of hyper-realism that makes it increasingly difficult to distinguish from authentic content through visual inspection alone. When used in sensitive or high-impact contexts, such content can pose significant security risks. For example, AI-generated fake news disseminated via social media can quickly mislead the public, incite panic or destabilize public opinion. Additionally, AI is capable of generating realistic identity documents, bank records, and other proof of identity, which may be exploited for identity theft, financial fraud, and other malicious activities.
AI-generated content detection plays a critical role in verifying the origin and authenticity of digital content, which is vital for maintaining the integrity of digital communications. It supports a range of application scenarios such as financial fraud prevention, copyright protection and content moderation on social media platforms.
This contribution aims to establish technical requirements and evaluation methods for AI-generated content detection technologies, providing guidance for their design, development, deployment, and assessment to enable the effective identification of AI-generated content.
