The current Recommendation of ITU-T G.8271 defines time and phase synchronization aspects in packet networks. It specifies the suitable methods to distribute the reference timing signals that can be used to recover the phase synchronization and/or time synchronization according to the required quality.
This amendment will address the following items:
A method for Technology independent model for asymmetry measurement
High-accuracy time transfer methods and applications
Synchronization requirements for applications connected via the 5G network
Ubiquitous Precision Time
