Summary:
|
FMSC is the capability that provides services and applications to end users regardless of the fixed, mobile or satellite access technologies being used. In FMSC network, the topology and organization is dynamic; the network entities, capabilities, capacity, interfaces and procedures are heterogeneous. It is of important needs to specify a standardized framework for service enhancements in FMSC network, which is of good market value to network operators, service providers, and end users, for the reason that the service enhancements can improve the QoS and service provision efficiency for voice and video service, message service, data service and vertical industry service.
This Recommendation specifies the service enhancements in FMSC network for IMT-2020 and beyond, in the aspects of general considerations, requirements, framework, network function enhancements, procedures, and security considerations.
