Summary: With development of network slicing and introduction of new technologies, e.g. programmable network, network keep evolution and become more flexible. However, improvement of network flexibility leads to more complexity of management. Industry pay great attention to evolution of telecommunication and information transmission, and there is a relatively mature ecosystem. In order to use the increased flexibility of the network to meet demand, industry pays more attention to the whole network analysis with using of artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) technologies. With effort of ITU-T SG13, Y.3115 specifies architectural requirements and framework of artificial intelligence enabled cross-domain networks for future networks including IMT-2020. Y.3115 addresses the problem of lack of an architecture to coordinate artificial intelligence capabilities among the current network domains. AI enabled cross-domain network comprises of four functional layers: the network function layer, the network management layer, the network service orchestration and management (O&M) layer and the business management layer. It is necessary to investigate detailed interface between different domains, signalling flow of information exchange inter/intra domains with AI assisted, message format of signalling flow, e.g. network function layer KPI analysis, analysis result transfer to network management layer.
