Summary: ITU-T Recommendation Y.4463 specifies a framework of the delegation service for transferring ownership (i.e., access rights to the Internet of things (IoT) devices) among authorized IoT devices. This Recommendation gives an overview and types of delegation service in IoT environment. It also defines the requirements and architectural models of delegation service from the perspective of data management as well as functional capabilities. With the revision to Recommendation Y.4463 (01/2020), the data management covers virtual object representation for time-series data. The specification also includes interfaces between distributed databases in physical world and virtual objects in information world. Specifically, the revision includes updates on the definition of resource and requirements of delegation service. The revision also adds new description on the distributed databases and example service scenario based on them.
