Summary: The purpose of this Recommendation is to provide a security guideline for the group movement service platform. Transportation services in the present have focused on the movement in single but interested in group movement increasingly because of the advantages that can be obtained from moving together. Riders in the peloton[b-Peloton] as a group movement save energy by riding close to particularly behind other riders. Vehicle platooning as a group movement has also shown us an effective movement with energy efficiency and reduces accidents. Drone platooning showed us a wonderful opening event at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and there has been interested in using drones for package delivery, firefighting, and fast disaster response recently. Group movement is highly praised for its benefits, concerns remain in traffic and data. Group movement service should work with an authorized remote connection, lightweight, and suitable for multiple hardware in wireless environments protocol. Issues related to security due to a connected environment through wireless communication are constantly happening and an insecure service platform can threaten the safety of moving objects and our life. we should consider that group movement could be used for malicious purposes more seriously without protection by security. Therefore, in order to provide a safe group movement, a security guideline is required that can help to build a secure service platform. The service platform for group movement includes functionalities for the objects to recommend, match, navigate, guide, and inform. The central server which is managing the object could find the best partners for moving efficiently and safely by considering the conditions and requirements. This means, the object that wants to move together needs to connect to the remote central server for the group movement and the navigating information to the aimed location for the objects can be provided by the service platform. The service platform contains service applications running on a server and nomadic device, and functional entities for the group movement service. The service platform provides a communication environment to share the information and status of objects. The service platform provides useful information including speed, distance, location, optimal path and route to the nomadic devices. The service of group movement should be guaranteed trust in communication between objects and partner objects. The identification of objects in the group also should be provided as the most basic requirement. The verification of integrity in the communications between objects is one of the important factors. This draft Recommendation will provide the function for supporting peer to peer integrity to cover it and consider light-weight functions for security requirements because the processing power of the object is not strong and the latency of transactions in the communication could impact reliability in group movement. Therefore, this draft Recommendation focus on providing a security guideline for group movement service platform with functional entities. This recommendation will be helpful for companies and providers who want to provide group movement service on a secure platform.
