Summary: With the development of satellite communications technologies, It is technically possible and market valuable that satellite-based network could complement and collaborate with IMT-2020 land-based network. The research on use cases of satellite communications in Developing Countries will facilitate the provision of satellite communications services and fixed, mobile and satellite converged services, and enrich the communications services provided to end users. This Supplement specifies the use cases and their requirements of satellite communications in Developing Countries, in the context of IMT-2020 network and beyond.
