G.988 (2020) Amd 2 introduces Dot1X OLT/ONU Authentication Termination Point ME which contains an OLT/ONU Admin states which is designed to align with IEEE 802.1X-2020 Clause 12.5 authenticator and supplicant “logon” variable respectively.
This is the reason for needing to update the existing 802.1X reference.
