ITU-T H.266建议书详细说明了一种称为多功能视频编码的视频编码技术,这种技术的设计有两个主要目标。第一个目标是规定一种压缩能力远远超过前几代此类标准的视频编码技术,第二个目标是该技术具有很强的通用性,能有效应用于比以往标准更广泛的应用领域。除了此前的视频编码标准通常涉及的应用外,此标准的一些主要应用领域特别包括超高清视频(如ITU-R BT.2100建议书中规定的3840×2160或7620×4320图像分辨率和10比特位深),高动态范围和宽色域的视频(如ITU-R BT.2100建议书中规定的感知量化或混合对数伽马传输特性),以及用于沉浸式媒体应用的视频,例如使用常见投影格式(如等距矩形投影或立方体投影格式)投影的360°全景视频。第三版增加了视频档次的一个新级别(级别15.5)的规范,以便为可超出所有其他规定等级的限值的比特流提供适当的标签,增加了补充强化信息,并更正了此前建议书内容中的各种小问题。本建议书与ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29合作制定,作为技术上一致的成对文本与ISO/IEC 230903对应。 |
