Il est nécessaire de proposer un système d'alerte pour les installations d'alimentation électrique. Le système d'alerte avancée pour les installations d'alimentation électrique fondé sur l'Internet des objets (IoT) est capable d'obtenir des paramètres d'état en temps réel concernant les équipements électriques, de formuler des prédictions quant à l'état de ces équipements et d'émettre des alertes précoces en cas de défaut, au moyen d'un modèle d'évaluation de l'état et d'alerte avancée. Il peut permettre de réaliser des économies d'exploitation des équipements et de garantir la fiabilité de l'alimentation électrique.
On trouvera dans la Recommandation UIT-T Y.4507 l'architecture fonctionnelle d'un système d'alerte pour les installations électriques, des cas d'utilisation et des diagrammes de flux de données.
