تحدد هذه التوصية بروتوكولاً بسيطاً لكنه مرن من أجل استخدامه في تطبيقات الإرسال المفرد القصيرة المهلة الزمنية من قبيل التحكم في آلات التصوير عن بُعد والتحادث النصي وذلك باستخدام قنوات المعطيات بسرعة منخفضة (LSD)/سرعة عالية (HSD)/بروتوكول الطبقات المتعددة (MLP) المحددة جميعها في التوصيتين H.221 وH.243 الصادرتين عن قطاع تقييس الاتصالات (ITU-T).
وتضيف هذه النسخة المنقحة لعام 2004 في البند 11 من التوصية معرفاً لهوية المواضيع المتعلقة بالمقدرات التنوعية، الأمر الذي يمكن من استخدام البروتوكول H.224 مع أنظمة معينة وفقاً لما يرد في التوصية H.245 الصادرة عن قطاع تقييس الاتصالات (ITU-T). |
