توصف التوصية ITU-T Y.4560 المتطلبات والنماذج الوظيفية والمنصات وأساليب نشر تبادل البيانات القائمة على سلسلة الكتل والتشارك لدعم إنترنت الأشياء (IoT) والمدن والمجتمعات الذكية (SC&C).وسلسلة الكتل هي تكنولوجيا ناشئة، وأهم خصائصها قابليتها للتتبّع، وعدم قابليتها للمحو، وعدم قابليتها للتغيير، واحتوائها على خاتم زمني. وهي قادرة على ضمان سلامة جميع المعاملات وأصالتها وقابليتها للتدقيق بكفاءة. ولسلسلة الكتل آثار وفوائد مهمة على تبادل البيانات وتناقلها دعماً لإنترنت الأشياء (IoT) والمدن والمجتمعات الذكية (SC&C). وفي معظم سيناريوهات إنترنت الأشياء والمدن والمجتمعات الذكية، من الضروري ضمان قدرة معالجة البيانات وتداولها وتناقلها وإدارتها، في جميع عمليات الثقة وتكنولوجيات سلسلة الكتل، على تلبية هذه الاحتياجات.
