Youth For Youth Debating Session # 2: Bridging the gender digital divide

Youth For Youth Debating Session # 2: Bridging the gender digital divide

Access to the Internet, digital platforms, digital financial services and mobile phones: these are all important tools enabling more women and girls than ever to take part in economic activities, earn additional income and access knowledge. Greater gender equality in the labour market will boost economic growth for developing and least developed countries, building more inclusive, smart societies. But how can we make sure women and girls have equal access to digital technologies? Do we need to champion positive discrimination in STEM fields for women and girls? What other options and opportunities are there to bridge the gender digital divide?
