| Requisitos funcionales para la eficiencia energética en las plataformas inteligentes de Internet de las cosas |
El rápido crecimiento de la tecnología de plataforma de IoT permite la conexión de numerosos sensores y dispositivos. Las aplicaciones de IoT deben ser energéticamente eficientes porque la mayoría de los dispositivos de IoT funcionan con baterías finitas. En las aplicaciones de IoT participan muchos dispositivos inteligentes, por lo que los aspectos energéticos son esenciales para reducir los costes y la huella de carbono. Además, la eficiencia energética es fundamental, pues las plataformas de IoT comprenden muchos dispositivos interconectados y servicios que necesitan grandes cantidades de energía. El fuerte surgimiento de la IA ha propiciado la integración de la IA en la plataforma de IoT para mejorar el proceso de toma de decisiones en la plataforma y aumentar el valor de los datos generados por la misma. La integración de la plataforma de IoT y las funcionalidades de la IA han dado lugar a un nuevo paradigma denominado plataforma inteligente de Internet de las cosas.En la Recomendación UIT-T L.1341 se especifican los requisitos funcionales esenciales para lograr una eficiencia energética sostenible y robusta de las plataformas inteligentes de IoT. Estas plataformas, definidas como marcos tecnológicos integrales que comprenden la inteligencia artificial (IA) y la computación periférica, afrontan importantes dificultades energéticas a causa de la complejidad computacional que introduce la IA y de la demanda energética colectiva de un gran número de dispositivos interconectados. Reconociendo que la integración de la IA y la gran dimensión de los despliegues de IoT plantean importantes problemas de consumo energético, en este documento se define un enfoque integral para la gestión energética en todo el sistema. En esta Recomendación se identifican en primer lugar las consideraciones de gestión energética en plataformas inteligentes de IoT en relación con las especificaciones del hardware, la recopilación y el procesamiento de datos, los modelos de IA y el funcionamiento y la gestión. A continuación se consideran los requisitos funcionales para la eficiencia energética de las plataformas inteligentes de IoT en relación con la adquisición y el procesamiento inteligentes de datos, los protocolos de comunicación energéticamente eficientes, la gestión dinámica de recursos de IA, la supervisión y gestión energéticas, la optimización energética mejorada por IA y la gestión de la eficiencia energética a lo largo de la vida útil. Además, en el Apéndice I se presentan las prácticas idóneas para mejorar la eficiencia energética de las plataformas inteligentes de IoT mediante el diseño arquitectónico de IoT con perspectiva energética, la gestión de datos energéticamente eficiente, las redes y comunicaciones ecológicas, la optimización energética por IA, el cultivo energético y soluciones de alimentación sostenible, además de técnicas de ahorro energético cooperativo con la periferia y la nube. |
