ITU-T H.222.0 (2006) Amd. 4 (12/2009)

Transport of multiview video over Rec. ITU-T H.222.0 | ISO/IEC 13818-1
Amendment 4 to Recommendation ITU-T H.222.0 | ISO/IEC 13818-1 specifies the transport of bit-streams conforming to one or more profiles defined in Annex H of Recommendation ITU-T H.264 (03/2009) | ISO/IEC 14496-10:2009 over MPEG-2 Transport Streams as defined in Recommendation ITU-T H.222.0 (05/2006) | ISO/IEC 13818-1:2007 and Recommendation ITU-T H.222.0 (05/2006) | ISO/IEC 13818-1:2007/Amd.3 - Transport of scalable video over Rec. ITU-T H.222.0 | ISO/IEC 13818-1.A number of use cases can be supported, if different view subsets with different values of view_id of the multiview bit-stream are transported as different elementary streams (ES). This allows for de-multiplexing on transport stream (TS) level, which is the prerequisite for selective access to a certain set of views, selective content protection, or unequal error protection mechanisms. MPEG-2 TS already specifies the transport of network abstraction layer (NAL) units conforming to one or more profiles defined in Annex A of Recommendation ITU-T H.264 | ISO/IEC 14496-10. This amendment makes extensions for supporting NAL units and bit-streams according to Annex H of Recommendation ITU-T H.264 | ISO/IEC 14496-10.
