تصف التوصية ITU-T Y.3809 الأدوار والنموذج القائم على الدور وسيناريوهات الخدمة في شبكات توزيع المفاتيح الكمومية (QKDN) من مختلف وجهات نظر النشر والتشغيل ضمن شبكات المستعملين القائمة لدعم خدمات التطبيقات الأمنية. ويمكن استخدام هذه التوصية كمبادئ توجيهية لتطبيق الشبكات QKDN من منظور الدور الذي تؤديه فضلاً عن نشر الشبكات QKDN وتشغيلها من وجهة نظر مشغلي الاتصالات.
