توفر هذه التوصية المتطلبات المشتركة لاستخدام الهاتف الذكي كعقدة البؤرة (SPSN) لتطبيقات إنترنت الأشياء (IoT) وخدماتها. وتعرف هذه التوصية مفهوم عقدة البؤرة في ميدان إنترنت الأشياء وتحدد الخصائص وأساليب العمل والمتطلبات الوظيفية رفيعة المستوى لاستخدام الهاتف الذكي كعقدة البؤرة. وتقدم أيضاً في التذييل حالات الاستعمال.
