Meeting Observation(s) The 35th meeting of the ITU-T/ISO/IEC Joint Video Experts Team will be held as a face-to-face meeting in Sapporo, Japan, at Sapporo Convention Center (1-1-1 Higashi-Sapporo 6-jo, Shiroishi-ku, Sapporo, 003-0006, Japan, web http://www.sora-scc.jp/eng/index.html) under the auspices of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29, and collocated with meetings of other MPEG WGs. Note that the first two days of the JVET meeting (12 and 13 July 2024) will be held at ACU Sapporo (45-12F/16F ACU-A (Asty), Kita 4-jo Nishi 5-chom

WORK PLAN
Objectives – Address any AAP comments submitted in the approval process of Recommendations in the domain of Q6/16
– Planning and development of proposed new Recommendation H.BWC for biomedical and general waveform coding
– Oversight of the JVET collaborative team
– Coordination of work with JTC1/SC29 and its JPEG and MPEG working groups
– Coordination of work with DICOM WG32 for study of biomedical signal coding technology
– Maintenance and extensions of VVC, VSEI, HEVC, AVC, and CICP
– Conformance specification for VVC, HEVC and AVC
– Reference software development for VVC, VSEI, HEVC, and AVC
– Developing the specification of additional supplemental enhancement information for VVC, VSEI, HEVC and AVC
– Collection of information on nonnormative aspects of video and image coding
– Development, maintenance and improvement of guidance supplements and technical papers on video and image coding
– Requirements studies, exploration experiments, and organizational preparations for standardization new coding technology for video, images, audio, and biomedical and other waveform signals
– Coordination with other organizations on matters relating to the coding of video, images, audio, biomedical, and other signals
– Progress the work item on G.VADFix Alignment of the G.7129 Annex B VAD
