Summary: Recommendation Y.1563 for Ethernet Performance and Availability Parameters includes a definition for Severely Errored Seconds (SES). As the quantification of Consecutive SES has been useful in the past, and the definition is widely implemented in other ITU-T Recommendations, this Annex gives a definition of Consecutive SES.
