ITU-R WP 5D has started the work on “IMT towards 2030 and beyond” by applying the well-proven IMT-process since 2021, and agreed on the overview timeline for IMT towards 2030 and beyond. ITU-T is responsible for the standardization of non-radio aspects of IMT systems. Before the study and standardization work on IMT-2030 networks is initiated, it is necessary to study the common terms and definitions for IMT-2030 networks to provide a general understanding for ITU-T IMT-2030 networks related documents. The terms and definitions can be used as a guideline for the further development of IMT-2030 networks related documents, and help in the development of standardization series of IMT-2030 networks.
This Technical Report aims to study the common terms and definitions for IMT-2030 networks.
