Network Security Situational Awareness (NSSA) for IoT systems purposes for providing a holistic and macro-level perspective of perception, analyzing and prediction of the security landscape of the target system. By collecting and analyzing data across different system components, NSSA offers deep insights into unusual activities, and assesses their impacts on the system as a whole.
Further, by aggregating analysis and assessment data on the system's security states over time, this approach offers not only a snapshot of the current security posture but also a historical perspective. This comprehensive view allows for early warnings and trend predictions if there are sudden unusual changes in the overall security analysis, thereby boosting the resilience and reliability of IoT systems.
