Summary: Recommendation ITU-T L.1031 describes a three-step approach to achieve the e-waste targets set in the Connect 2030 Agenda. These steps consist of guidance on developing an e-waste inventory, approaches to design e-waste prevention and reduction programmes and the supportive measures required for successfully implementing the Connect 2030 e-waste targets. This Recommendation is intended to be utilized by relevant stakeholders to take their first step in addressing Target 3.2 of the Connect 2030 Agenda that is to increase the global e-waste recycling rate to 30% and Target 3.3 that is to raise the percentage of countries with e-waste legislation to 50%.
