This Recommendation is a part 1 of the testing specifications for OIP/OIR services implemented on IMS basis on the network and user side. This recommendation specifies the protocol implementation conformance statement (PICS) which can be used for testing against the Recommendation ITU-T Q.3618 v.1 "OIP and OIR using IP Multimedia core network subsystem. Protocol specification".

ITU-T Q.4002.1 v.1 will supersede ITU-T Q.3943.1. It was decided to change the Recommendation number to include this Recommendation in the new series Q.4000-Q.4039 which is dedicated to SIP-IMS test specifications
