The ZigBee Health Care Profile Specification Standard is needed to allow device inter-connectivity within the Continua Design Guidelines personal area network architecture. The application domains covered are Disease Monitoring, Personal Wellness Monitoring and Personal Fitness monitoring. The environments addressed are residential environments, retirement communities, medical care facilities (low acuity aspects only) and fitness centers.
