Christoph DOSCH

​​​​​​​​​Christoph DOSCH graduated from the Technical University Munich (TUM) in 1976. He started his career as scientific engineer with the Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT) in Munich in 1976 (www.irt.de), specializing in terrestrial, cable and satellite broadcasting as well as in related interactive (online) services. He retired in 2014 after having served the IRT as General Manager Collaborative Research for almost two decades. In parallel he served the European Broadcasting Union (www.ebu.ch) as well as the ITU (www.itu.int) in various chairman functions. From 2007 to 2015, he acted as Chairman of ITU Study Group 6 (Broadcasting service). Currently, he is Vice Chairman of this Study group and still working with the IRT as liaison officer to ITU in his capacity as Senior Expert on Broadcasting Technology & Spectrum Management. His publications centered on digital transmission techniques, multimedia applications and the convergence of broadcasting and broadband techniques including access services for people with special needs.
