At the kind invitation of the Research and Study Telecommunications Center (CERT), ITU and Probe IT are organizing a half-day Workshop on the Internet of Things, the afternoon of 18 September 2012 as a parallel event to ICT4ALL.

The goals of this workshop are to give the status of IoT studies and deployment worldwide, present some real use cases and the international standardization efforts. In addition it will explore how Africa can take full benefit of this major trend for addressing some of its important interoperability challenges.
