Ariadne Plaitakis is an experienced general counsel with extensive experience in the fields of payments, privacy, data protection, e-commerce, digital IT, consumer protection and mobile financial services regulation in US/ EU and emerging markets. She is a UK-qualified solicitor with over 16 years of experience as a lawyer, who has a nuanced understanding of the intricacies of telecommunications, competition and financial services regulation. With both an MA in Law from Oxford, as well as a Bsc in International Relations from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service and fluency in several languages, Ariadne offers a unique set of competencies and insights on regulatory aspects of MFS portfolios. Prior to her current position, Ariadne obtained significant experience in EU, UK and French competition/ antitrust/ distribution/ consumer law at Clifford Chance, where she worked as a Senior Associate in their London, Brussels and Paris offices. She is also currently an Adjunct Professor in competition law and business ethics at the University of Cergy- Pontoise, and has lectured in the past in competition law at University of Paris 1- Sorbonne.
