David Lavan works as a senior researcher in INICTEL-UNI, he got a doctoral degree in science of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM) defending the thesis: “Gene expression analysis in Drosophila melanogaster pupae exposed to microgravity”. He also obtained a master degree in biophysics of the UAM.
He performed graduate studies in theoretical physics in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and he graduated with honors of the School of Physics by the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo of Perú.
During his training stage as a researcher in the European Space Agency in Netherlans, Dr. Lavan worked in the laboratory “Dutch Experiment Support Center, DESC – ESA, Lab. Microgravity ”.
Dr Lavan got into biochemistry as data analyst of microarray mRNA expression of Drosophila melanogaster pupae which were previously sent to The International Space Station.
In February 2006 Dr Lavan was part of the historic patent categorization of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office based in Madrid.
He has participated in various publications both in the area of microgravity and Electromagnetic Radiation non-ionizing.
