The 3rd Asia-Pacific Regional Forums on Smart Cities and e-Government & The Annual Internet of Things Asia Pacific Summit


The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), I am pleased to invite your organization to participate in the 3rd Asia-Pacific Regional Forum on Smart Cities and e-Government 2017 to be held on 21-22 September 2017 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand (MDES), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) in partnerships with the Ausrtalian Government and the Forum Global. The forum is being held in conjunction with the Thailand Digital Big Bang 2017 organized by the MDES, the Government of Kingdom of Thailand, during 21-24 September 2017.

The forum will also be followed by the Annual Internet of Things Asia Pacific Summit on 23 September 2017 at the same venue. The forum convenes senior policy makers, industry and other stakeholders from the ICT sector to deliberate the opportunities and challenges of developing effective smart city strategies, digital policies, emerging trends, issues, and challenges of digital governments. High-level discussions expect ministers, city governors, mayors, heads of regulators, and senior government representatives. Importantly, the forum provides a platform for city-to-city collaboration and public-private partnerships.

ITU is also pleased to invite your organization to exhibit your products, services, or achivements at ITU pavilion in the main exhibition of the Thailand Digital Big Bang 2017.

ITU will provide one full fellowship for each eligible country from Asia-Pacific Region, subject to available budget. Applicants requesting fellowships are required to submit the Fellowship Request form duly endorsed by their respective administration together with the confirmed online registration, no later than 31 August 2017.​
