ITU projects, using ICT for sustainable development

As stipulated by the ITU Constitution, one of the functions of the ITU Telecommunication Development Sector is to discharge the Union's dual responsibility as a United Nations specialized agency and as a executing agency for implementing projects under the UN development system or other funding arrangements, so as to facilitate and enhance projects related to information and communication technology by offering, organizing and coordinating technical cooperation and assistance activities.

ITU projects make a difference in the lives of people and offer sustainable and innovative solutions around the world to achieve development through ICT. ITU has longstanding experience in the design, development and implementation of ICT related projects.

ITU offers tailored made projects for multi-stakeholder needs, with recognized long standing technical expertise in the ICT field and comprehensive experience in project development, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on Result Based Management.
