This document gives guidelines for 1) using insurance as a form of risk transfer to help an organization manage the impact of a cyber incident, 2) sharing of data and information between an insurer and insured party to prepare, negotiate, accept, monitor and deal with -claims associated with a cyber insurance policy, 3) assisting information security professionals to use cyber insurance as an option for risk treatment, and 4) leveraging an information security management system to share relevant data and information with insurers.
