This specification has been developed by the IEEE and is used by the ITU-T without change. G.8262.1 defines the timing characteristics of enhanced synchronous equipment slave clock. IEEE 802.3 specifies the physical interfaces of Ethernet networks. G.8262.1 supports Ethernet interfaces defined in IEEE 802.3.
