Il existe un cadre d'évaluation de l'impact environnemental du secteur des TIC (élaboré par l'UIT dans la Recommandation UIT-T L.1410 sur l'évaluation du cycle de vie environnemental des biens, réseaux et services des technologies de l'information et de la communication), mais de bonnes pratiques en matière d'identification des équipements, élaborées spécifiquement pour évaluer l'impact environnemental de l'architecture de réseau, font défaut. Dans la présente Recommandation, les équipements essentiels dans les réseaux sont identifiés pour faciliter les calculs de l'analyse du cycle de vie (ACL). Différents types d'architecture de réseau utilisent différents produits, ce qui crée des différences de consommation d'énergie, de production de déchets d'équipements électriques et électroniques et d'empreinte environnementale. Cette Recommandation examinera trois types d'architecture de réseau et suggérera pour chacun un ensemble d'équipements appropriés. Elle commencera à aider les concepteurs de réseaux à déterminer les performances environnementales et circulaires des différentes architectures de réseau. La Recommandation UIT-T L.1050 utilise les informations rassemblées par les parties prenantes, qui permettent de bien comprendre les difficultés potentielles indiquées. |
